Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
ListingReel is built privacy-first. It runs on your Mac, your media stays on your Mac, and we (Arventa Labs) don't operate servers that collect your listings, photos, or AI content.
Who we are
ListingReel is a macOS application published by Arventa Labs (“we,” “us”). You can reach us at craig@arventalabs.com.
The short version
- Your photos, videos, listings, and project files stay on your Mac. We never receive or store them.
- AI features use your own provider API keys, stored in your Mac's Keychain. AI requests go directly from your Mac to the provider you chose — not through us.
- Optional, anonymized diagnostics are off by default. If you turn them on, we receive only coarse event counts — such as an app launch or whether a render succeeded — tied to a random, hashed per-install ID. Never your keys, files, addresses, or content.
- We only receive information you deliberately send us — for example, a support email.
Information stored on your device
ListingReel stores the following locally, under your user account, and does not transmit it to us:
- Listing content — the photos and video clips you import, the project data you create (addresses, captions, scripts, branding), and rendered videos. These live in your folders and the app's local storage.
- API keys — keys you enter for fal.ai, ElevenLabs, and Anthropic/Claude are stored in the macOS Keychain and are read only when needed to make a request on your behalf.
- Settings and trial status — preferences, your trial start date, your diagnostics opt-in choice, and (only if you opt in) a random diagnostics ID are stored in standard macOS app storage on your device.
Third-party AI providers (bring-your-own-key)
When you use AI features, ListingReel sends the relevant request (for example, photos to caption, or text to voice) directly from your Mac to the provider you've connected, authenticated with your own key:
- fal.ai — AI video generation (Kling model)
- ElevenLabs — AI voiceover and music
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-assisted scripts and photo descriptions
Your use of these providers is governed by their privacy policies and terms, and you are billed by them directly. We never see your keys or the content of those requests.
Purchases and licensing
Purchases of ListingReel are processed by Stripe, acting as the merchant of record; your payment details are handled by Stripe and its processors under their privacy policy — we never receive or store your card information. License keys are issued and activated through Keygen: to register an activation, the app sends your license key and a device fingerprint (a hashed hardware identifier plus a device name) to Keygen's licensing service. We do not receive your payment information from either provider.
Anonymous diagnostics (opt-in)
Diagnostics are off by default. If you turn them on in the app's settings, ListingReel sends anonymized usage events through TelemetryDeck — coarse signals such as an app launch, or whether a render succeeded or failed (as a generic category). Each event is tied to a random per-install identifier that is hashed on your device before it is sent and is created only after you opt in. We never send your API keys, file paths, addresses, listing content, or photos. You can turn diagnostics off again at any time.
Support requests
If you use “Report a Problem,” ListingReel composes an email to us containing a small, non-sensitive diagnostics summary (app version, your macOS version, your Mac's processor type, and whether each AI provider is connected — a yes/no, never the keys). It never includes your photos, file paths, listing content, or API keys. The email is only sent if you choose to send it, and you can edit it first.
Children's privacy
ListingReel is a professional tool intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
- You can remove any stored API key at any time in the app's settings.
- You can delete your local data by removing your projects and the app's application-support files.
- For privacy questions, or requests regarding any data you've sent us by email, contact craig@arventalabs.com.
